With other large electronics stores dropping off the national map, Best Buy has managed to stay on top of it all with fantastic customer service and quality products. But just because their services are worth it doesn't mean that you should expect to pay full price for everything you buy in-store or online. Let us guide you on your Best Buy savings journey, going well beyond your traditional coupons and promo codes.
When you apply for a Best Buy credit card, you can get exclusive financing offers that allow you to spread out your payments for expensive items as well as save some cash. There are two cards: the Best Buy Credit Card and the Reward Zone Master Card. When you purchase products at Best Buy, you get one point for every $1, and when you purchase from Best Buy, you get two points for every $1. When you earn 250 points you get a $5 reward, good for nearly anything from Best Buy.
The Best Buy Credit Card has financing plans from 6 months to 24 months and saves you money by getting rid of interest if your purchases hit a certain total and you pay your bill in full within the time allotted. The Reward Zone Master Card allows Reward Zone members to save more money every time they make a purchase. You can earn more points faster and you receive exclusive information about new offers and ways to save money. Make sure you compare the two cards and their benefits before you apply.
Like many other store clubs, when you join the Reward Zone you earn points that you can redeem for rewards. Every dollar you spend at Best Buy is worth a point, and every 500 points earns you a $10 reward. The membership is free and with it you get special access to insider Best Buy information about coupons and events, as well as new products.
If you spend $2500 in a year using your Reward Zone Master Card, you'll become a Premier Silver member and begin earning 1.25 points for every $1, which means that you'd only have to spend $400 to get a $10 reward.
When it seems like a Best Buy coupon just can't be found, head on over to eBay to see if somebody is selling one. You will find anything from 10% off coupons, to special manufacturer coupons for items sold at Best Buy.
The Outlet Center is where Best Buy lists new arrivals and recently reduced, refurbished and last chance products. The new arrivals is where you'll find the most recent adds to the outlet center, which means that you should take advantage of any offers you like, because if you wait too long, someone else is going to grab your dream laptop or big screen TV. And check out the refurbished products to find items that are in like-new condition and have the price of something on sale.
Each week Best Buy changes the products that they have on sale. Offers include coupons, sales, free shipping offers, financing deals and other exclusive wonders. Featured offers aren't restricted to certain products, either; you will find great deals on nearly everything they carry in-store.
If you can't go to the store to look at what's on sale, simply pull up the weekly ad online. Prices that you find here will be valid from Sunday through Saturday, unless Best Buy does something extra special and extends special offers (this happens a lot around holidays). The ad tells you what's going to be on sale, what awesome new movies are coming out and even lets you know about special coupons that you can get in-store and online.
Don't stop shopping, even after you make your purchase and are waiting for it to arrive on your doorstep. Best Buy has two different price matching guarantees (one for the online store and one for the retail store). Read through the rules for each; they won't price match with a competitor, but if you find it less expensively at Best Buy, you could be due a refund.
